Bowls Fund Update

Just a quick update on the 'Bowls Fund'

We spent £18756 on new floodlights for Green 1 and the irrigation system.

The club paid for these upfront and we have been paying it down with the 50p per game that we pay along with fund raising at the George Astbury Trophy

We have now paid back £15000 leaving a balance of £3756.

We also bought the new bowls hut for Green 1 outright for £4173.

In addition some members made donations to allow us to buy the new benches for Green1/Green2.

We have made various Adhoc purchases for other stuff since the Bowls Fund started so I would estimate we have raised over £27000 since I had a daft idea back in 2020.

Thanks to all all members for their contribution to the fund which allows us to improve the facilities at the club.

A special mention to Gurn & Helen for all the time and effort they put in with the Flowers - members donations there, are probably another £750-£1000.

If I keep typing we'll be up to £30k before long
